- technical and marketing data: IP address, browser type, device information, website actions, referrer and UTM tags.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- manage your account and personalise your experience;
- create, store, analyse, improve and adapt resumes;
- compare a resume with a job description provided by the user;
- process payments for paid features;
- improve the Service and understand marketing campaign performance;
- comply with legal obligations.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Limited access may be provided to:
- our team — limited access for support and development only;
- payment providers, including YooKassa and Stripe, depending on the selected payment method;
- Yandex or Google, if you use the corresponding sign-in method;
- Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica for website usage analytics;
- Resend for transactional emails, verification and password reset;
- AI services: OpenAI for processing resume text in AI analysis and job matching features.
When performing AI functions, the Service attempts to remove or replace names, emails, phone numbers, addresses and direct links before sending the substantive resume content for processing. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.
5. Cookies
We use cookies and localStorage for account login, storing settings and first-party attribution of marketing visits. Without them, the website may not work correctly. You can manage cookie settings and clear localStorage in your browser.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your personal data while your account is active or while it is necessary to provide services. You may delete your account and related data in account settings or by contacting support@updatecv.me. Account deletion through settings is performed after confirmation. Email requests are processed within 7 days. Some data may be retained if required by law.

Users independently provide resumes and job descriptions or links. These data are used only to operate the selected UpdateCV features. The Service does not create a public job board and does not publish user resumes without a separate user action.

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption in transit and access restrictions. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
