1. Acceptance of Terms
By using UpdateCV at updatecv.me (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of the Service
UpdateCV is a service for creating, uploading, editing, analysing and improving resumes. Users may compare a resume with a job description they provide, receive a match analysis, adapt the resume to the job requirements and download the result in an available format. UpdateCV is not an employer, recruitment agency or job board and does not influence hiring decisions.
3. Registration and Accounts
Some features, including saved resumes, AI tools and paid features, require an account created with email and password, Yandex ID or Google. You are responsible for the security of your account. We are not liable for actions performed through compromised accounts. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration.
4. Prohibited Activities
When using the Service, you must not:
- copy or republish website materials without permission from the rights holder;
- use website materials to create competing services or databases;
- perform mass or automated data collection from the website by any means;
- use bots, scripts or other automated tools to access the Service;
- create excessive server load or attempt to bypass technical restrictions;
- upload knowingly false information, spam, malicious code or third-party data without a lawful basis;
- impersonate another person or organisation or misrepresent your affiliation;
- take actions that may disrupt the Service or violate the rights of other users.
5. Paid Services
Some features, including extended AI tool limits, are provided through UpdateCV Pro. The price and contents of paid plans are shown in the Service. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers and are subject to their terms. Payments are one-time payments and are non-refundable except where required by law or described in the Public Offer.
6. User Materials
Users independently upload resumes, job descriptions and other materials and are responsible for their content and lawful use. We do not sell user resumes and use the provided data only to operate the selected features of the Service.
7. AI Features
Some features use artificial intelligence and third-party APIs. Results may contain errors and are not professional advice. Users must review final wording and must not use unverified facts, skills or experience.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features and UpdateCV-created content, is protected by intellectual property laws. You retain rights to the content you provide, including resumes and job descriptions, but grant UpdateCV the right to use it to the extent necessary to provide the Service.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, updatecv.me is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, lost profits or revenue, or damages arising from use of the Service, content obtained through the Service, unauthorised access to data or actions of third parties. We do not guarantee that a user will find a job through the Service.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless UpdateCV, its officers, employees and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms or violation of third-party rights.
11. Termination
We may suspend or delete an account if a user violates these Terms or harms the operation of the Service. You may delete your account at any time through account settings.
12. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes means acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. The parties aim to resolve disputes arising from these Terms or in connection with the Service through negotiation and by contacting Service support.
